Please note that the AGM this year will be held on Saturday June 27th 2026 at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Shaws Bridge, Belfast from 2PM. Refreshments will be provided at the meeting.
As the main item of business this year will centre on whether to proceed with an amalgamation of the NIBU and CBAI to form a new body – ‘Bridge Ireland’, it is important that as many members attend as possible.
All members of the Union may attend and speak at the AGM but only official delegates have a vote. The number of delegates a club may send is decided on the number of club members as follows:
1 – 40 members = 2 delegates
41-70 members = 3 delegates
71 – 100 members = 4 delegates
101 – 130 members = 5 delegates
131 – 160 members = 6 delegates
180 + members = 8 delegates.
We do not need to have full details of those intending to attend just yet but it would be helpful in planning for the day if you could give a rough estimate of how many members of your club are likely to attend, whether as official delegates or otherwise.
