Senior and Intermediate Leagues and Knockout Cups 2024-25

Entry to the Senior and Intermediate Leagues has now closed. The draws are available in the Leagues section of the website.

The Closing date for the Millership Cup has been extended to Friday 11 October 2024. The entry form for the Millership Cup can be found here. Entries are especially encouraged for this trophy which was donated by Sandie and Jeff Millership in the early 1990’s. Message from Sandie below:

The Millership Cup
“When Jeff and I first started playing bridge we played in every competition we could.  Mostly with no chance of winning 😊.  Over the years we realised that there was a large hole in the competition calendar with respect to the knock-out cups.  There was the Hynman Cup for Juniors (now called Inter B’s) and the Kelvin & Mackinnon Cups, which were open to all players.

Ciara Burns Gala Pairs

This event for Inter A, Inter B and Novice pairs, took place on Sunday 4th August 11am in Kelvin Malone Bridge Centre

The Competitions Secretary, Anne Hassan would like to thank all who participated in the event. Thanks also to Sandie Millership for running the competition, Diane Greenwood, NIBU Chairperson, for coming to help and support the event. and Joan Baird for providing an excellent lunch.

Wishing all our players the best of luck!!

Starting on Sunday 23rd June, the European Championships are being played in Herning, Denmark. We have a number of players from the NIBU representing Ireland in the Senior Teams event.

Senior Team Ireland comprises Hastings Campbell & Sam Hall; Ian Lindsay & Ian Hamilton; Terry Walsh & BJ O’Brien. NPC – Harold Curran.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE NIBU

The Annual General Meeting of the NIBU took place on Sunday June 16th 2024 at Kelvin & Malone Bridge Centre. Apart from Council Members, there was 35 attendees. The minutes of the AGM will follow shortly. Here are some photos of the presentations.
