The competition will be held in England over the weekend April 17TH -19TH 2020. The exact venue is to be confirmed. The trials will be held at Kelvin-Malone over the weekend November 22nd -24th 2019. The entry fee will be £45 per person and is payable immediately before the commencement of the trial.
The Trials are open to all NIBU members who meet the criteria set out in the current Home International Regulations (HIR) published on the Bridge Great Britain website. Each partnership should hold a minimum of 100 red points OR at least 40 each player. Pairs who do not meet this standard may be accepted at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
Entries must be made electronically to Michael McFaul (firstname.lastname@example.org) by midnight on Sunday the 15 th September 2019 and should include the names and email addresses of both players together with an electronic copy of a convention card that is compliant with the HIR.
Trials will be played as Butler Pairs with 16 board matches. The Selection Committee reserves the right to change the schedule if deemed necessary. The Pairs finishing 1st 2 nd and 3rd will automatically be selected for the competition. Full details and the schedule will be announced by email to competitors as soon as possible after the closing date for entries.
Exemptions may be requested at the time of entry and any application will be considered by the Selection Committee. The entry fee is payable by any pair granted an exemption.
